Opening EP

A 9 track deep house ep (55m 44s) — released June 7th 2010 on Round In Motion

London-based Japanese DJ, producer and sometime-samurai Kay Suzuki's new single, taken from his first album 'Consciousness' features two original songs with remixes by Atjazz, Ezel, C.O.N.E., and Christo. It's all about global music consciousness here... ** 'Music' Features two west African Griots - traditional musicians, storytellers, historians, archivists and diplomats. Babacarr Dieng is on vocals and percussion, and Jally Keba Susso plays the Kora, a west African harp. Both come from long line of famous griot families in Gambia and Senegal. They met with Kay in London and instantly connected on a musical and spiritual level. Kay then helped record and produce their material, and when he dropped the 'Music' beat, it resonated immediately. Babacarr sings, "In Japan, Gambia, Senegal, everywhere we have music," in his big earthy voice and Jally accompanies with his beautiful and moving Kora sounds. On remix duty, heavyweight producer Atjazz transformed the song into his famous deep afro-house style, which is sure to be a floor killer, especially for South Africa's World Cup season. ** 'Move On', on the flip, has more of an underground soul feel. It takes its lead from dubstep's uptempo speed and wobbling basslines, and adds addictive synth riffs to the mix. London's Duchy takes the music to an even higher level when her vocals kick in. She'll instantly grab your heart with her soulful and spiritual sound. To get the very best from this track, a wide range of producers were tasked with creating remixes. On a house music tip, there's Ezel (Yoruba/Ocha) who's been dubbed a top next-generation producer. His refix features his signature Dominican live drums, adding an afro-house edge to the tune. Also featuring Netherland's C.O.N.E creates a fresh broken/dub remix and the UK's Christo concentrates on groovy, slow beats for digital release.
